The Up-and-Coming Areas to Buy a Home in Middle Tennessee

There’s no doubt that Middle Tennessee has become a hot topic over the past few years because of its capital city, Nashville. With all that attention, the real estate market has been booming. There’s been a lot of change that’s attracting college students, recent graduates, and established families alike.

As you can imagine, it can be difficult to find the right home with that kind of competition. But there are more options for housing than what’s right in the center of Nashville. There are so many neighborhoods and towns with wonderful homes that are just on the outskirts of the city.  You can get the home you dream of with all that Nashville has to offer, too, if you choose a home in these up-and-coming areas in Middle Tennessee.

Nashville (Nolensville Area)

Nolensville is a vibrant and culturally diverse area of South Nashville. In Nolensville, you can find some of the best options when it comes to international food and markets. On top of this, it offers a convenient location relative to other neighborhoods in and around the city.

Franklin

Franklin is a wonderful area for shopping, food, and entertainment. As of two years ago, it even boasts its own music festival now. The city is located 14 miles from Nashville, but there’s plenty to do without leaving — many people from Nashville frequently visit Franklin because of its history and charm.

Brentwood

Brentwood is a suburb of Nashville, offering beautiful green spaces, as well as many historic homes and sites. You’ll have close access to Deerwood Arboretum and Nature Center, Ellington Agricultural Center, and Radnor Lake. It’s the perfect place to live if you have a love for both nature and the city.

Murfreesboro

From the direct center of Nashville, Murfreesboro is not even an hour away. Depending on your whereabouts, the drive to Nashville can be as short as half an hour. Nashville’s been growing at a rapid rate, and Murfreesboro has shown an upward growth trend as well. Murfreesboro is home to Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), the Middle Tennessee Museum of Natural History, and Mayday Brewery–just to name a few of its attractions.
